Man swindled out of nearly $17,000 in online tractor purchase

NEW ERA — A New Era man was swindled out of $16,800 in an online fraud scheme, said Michigan Police Sgt. Ben Stadler. The man wired the money to purchase a 2022 John Deer tractor that is normally worth over $40,000. He later discovered the online account was fake.
