Soup and Sandwich Luncheon

PENTWATER — The women of the United Methodist Church will serve a Soup and Sandwich Luncheon this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall, featuring homemade soups, sandwiches and pies. There will also be “white elephant” sale table. The church is located on the corner of Hancock and First streets, across from the post office.

GRAND RAPIDS — Seven seniors with the Oceana County Council on Aging recently traveled from Hart to the Gerald R. Ford International Airport to honor and help welcome 77 World War II veterans. The Mid-Michigan Honor Flight brought the veterans from Michigan to Washington D.C. to visit the memorial dedicated in their honor.
