LUDINGTON — West Shore Bank has earned BauerFinancial Inc.’s highest rating of 5-Star Superior, recognizing the bank’s financial strength and stability.

BauerFinancial, based in Coral Gables, Fla., has analyzed and rated the nation’s banks since 1983. Its ratings evaluate financial indicators including capital, asset quality and liquidity.

West Shore Bank earned the firm’s highest rating for the most recent quarter, placing it among the nation’s strongest banks, according to BauerFinancial.

“As market conditions continue to change, banking institutions must be able to evolve with them,” said Karen L. Dorway, president of BauerFinancial. “With West Shore Bank’s stellar financial condition and equally impressive track record, we are confident in its ability to do so. The community is fortunate to have such a strong and dedicated financial partner in its midst.”

Founded in 1898, West Shore Bank has a long history of supporting people and organizations in the communities it serves.

BauerFinancial bases its ratings on financial data reported to federal regulators. Financial institutions cannot pay for or opt out of the ratings, which are available free at bauerfinancial.com.
