Walene Pieske
Walene Pieske, 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 leaving a legacy of family and community connection.
Born on August 9, 1938, in Chicago, to Walter and Francis, she was raised in the city and graduated from Lane Technical High School. During her school years, she co-founded a social club with her peers known as the Vixens, maintaining those friendships throughout her life.
She married Edward Pieske in January 1958. She spent her life managing the family home and raising their three sons, Gary, Edward, and Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward; and her son Gary.
She is survived by her sons Edward and Paul; her brother, Ronald Olahnolvich; and her granddaughter, Heather.
The family extends its thanks to Cherry Blossom Manor in Hart for the care provided in her final years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Research Association based in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
