The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:
Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026:
- 10 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 27-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for probation violation, Garfield Road, Hesperia. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Friday, Sept. 25, 2026:
- 2:35 p.m., (MSP), a 15-year-old boy was apprehended and cited for one count of felonious assault and two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, East Wilke Road, Grant Township. He was turned over to his parents.
Monday, Sept. 28, 2026:
- 3:39 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), two Shelby men, ages 46 and 30, were arrested for open intoxicants in a vehicle, Baseline road near 88th Avenue, Hart Township. They were both lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026:
- 9:54 a.m., (OCSO), utility theft, power was stolen from Great Lakes Energy, 5300 block of East Tyler Road, Leavitt Township. The case has been turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.
- 12:36 p.m., (OCSO), identity theft, 7400 block of West Webster Road, Claybanks Township. The victim was sent a fraudulent phone bill for $140.
Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026:
- 8:21 p.m., (OCSO), a 52-year-old Rothbury man was cited for driving while license revoked, South 88th Avenue, Grant Township.
Friday, Oct. 2, 2026:
- 12:56 a.m., (OCSO), a 45-year-old Norton shores man was cited for improper license plate, South 192nd Avenue near Skeels Road, Greenwood Township.
- 11:12 p.m., (OCSO), a 28-year-old Hart man was arrested for handgun registration violation and open intoxicants, East Madison Road near 160th Avenue, Colfax Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026:
- 8:40 p.m., (MSP), attempted moped theft, First Street, Mears.
Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026:
- 1:17 a.m., (OCSO), a 19-year-old Whitehall man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Oceana Drive near Roosevelt Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
