Woman arrested for assault with knife

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Mears woman was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies for felonious domestic assault in the 5500 block of West Cherry Lane Friday, Sept. 18, at 4:6 a.m., said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

“There was a knife involved, and the victim received a laceration to his leg. It was a minimal injury,” said Sheriff Mast.

The woman was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Monday, Sept. 14, 2026:

• 7:54 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), fraud, a forged check totaling $216.64 was cashed at a business, 100 block of North Division Street, Village of Hesperia.

Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026:

• 3:40 p.m., (OCSO), larceny of a boat trailer and a lawn tractor, 8700 block of 142nd Avenue, Otto Township.
• 8:20 p.m., (OCSO), a 31-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, M 20 near 144th Avenue, Ferry Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. A blood sample was sent to the crime lab for analysis.

Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026:

• 8:01 a.m., (OCSO), turfing, business parking lot on South 68th Avenue, Grant Township. 
• 1:45 p.m., (OCSO), fraud, $700 stolen through the Apple Pay app, Johnson Street, City of Hart.
• 3:24 p.m., (OCSO), a 65-year-old Hesperia man, a 45-year-old Hesperia man and 27-year-old Hesperia woman were charged with harboring a fugitive, and a 31-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on warrants for failure to pay child support, 7300 block of East Loop Road, Newfield Township. 
• 6:43 p.m., (OCSO), a 26-year-old Shelby man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a rollover crash, North Oceana Drive and 80th Avenue, Weare Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. 
• 10:16 p.m., (OCSO), a 29-year-old Shelby man was cited for operating without a license, and 24-year-old Shelby woman was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate, Garfield Road and 90th Avenue, Grant Township. A charge of methamphetamine possession against the male suspect is pending lab analysis.

Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026:

• 2 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 58-year-old Muskegon man was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay child support, Hesperia Dam, Village of Hesperia. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Friday, Sept. 18, 2026:

• 10:56 a.m., (OCSO), a 17-year-old male juvenile was cited to the probate court for fleeing and eluding police, North 176th Avenue, Colfax Township. He was turned over to a guardian.
• Time of incident temporarily unavailable, (OCSO), a 48-year-old Scottville man was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated, South 192nd Avenue and White Road, Greenwood Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026:

• 3:53 p.m., (OCSO), a 42-year-old Rothbury man was cited for driving while license revoked, East Johnson Road, Ferry Township.

Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026:

• 2:16 a.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, a windshield was damaged, South Oceana Drive and Arthur Road, Grant Township.
