Pirates to celebrate Homecoming

HART — Hart High School will celebrate Homecoming next week.

The Pirates’ Homecoming events will kick off Sunday, Sept. 20, with the annual Powderpuff games. This year’s theme is Rio, and spirit week days are as follows: 

Monday, Sept. 21: Rio after Dark — Pajama Day

Tuesday, Sept. 22: Birds of a Feather — Twin Day

Wednesday, 9/23: Carnaval Day — Dress to Impress

Thursday, Sept. 24: Class Color Wars

Friday, Sept. 25: “Parrot” Pride — Dress in school colors

The Homecoming parade will take place Friday, Sept. 25, at 4:30 p.m. The game will follow at 7 p.m. against Orchard View. The Homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime of the football game. The dance is set for Saturday, Sept. 26. 

The following students were voted to represent this year’s Homecoming Court: 

Freshmen: Peyton Erickson and Alejandro Aguirre

Sophomores: Layla Bronkema and Diego Velazquez

Juniors: Priscilla Vazquez and Angel Quiroz

Senior court members: Alayna Schiller and Caden VanGelderen; Jaclyn Greiner and Kole Thomas; Naomi Bitely and Haegan Hansen; and Rilynn Porter and Rhet Johnson

Foreign exchange students: Lucin Kalaichian Rosset and Nora Gallardo Fernandez Cavada
