GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — The Silver Lake Sand Dunes 23rd annual Apple & BBQ Festival is set for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12, at Golden Township Park, for a weekend of food, music and fun.
Indulge in tender BBQ, warm slices of homemade apple pie and locally grown apples.
The event features a craft show with more than 180 vendors; a beer and wine tent; 15 food trucks serving BBQ and other mouthwatering eats; a classic car and ORV show; a 5K race; axe throwing; and a build your own flower bouquet bar.
There will be children’s activities including a petting zoo and gellyball.
Silver Lake Road will be closed from the roundabout to just before North Shore Drive (southbound) from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday for the festival’s craft show. North Shore Drive will temporarily operate as a two-way street.
