GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A U-turn attempt on Fox Road near Wilson Road led to a rollover crash Monday, Aug. 10, at 10:40 a.m., according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office traffic crash report.
A 59-year-old Trenton, Mich. man was driving a 2023 Ford Bronco when he “was attempting a U turn, and turned into the westbound lane of travel and was struck” by a 2015 Honda CRV operated by a 38-year-old Grand Rapids woman, according to the report. As a result of the improper turn, the Honda struck the Bronco and overturned.
Passengers in the Honda included a 36-year-old man, a 7-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, all from Grand Rapids. The woman and the boy received minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Life EMS, according to the report.
The Bronco driver was cited for improper lane usage.
