SHELBY TOWNSHIP — The Shelby-Benona Fire Department was dispatched to southbound US 31 near mile marker 145 for a semi trailer that caught fire Friday, Aug. 14, at 10:49 a.m., according to Mason-Oceana 911 dispatch information.
The southbound lane was temporarily closed by law enforcement in the vicinity of the fire. Command on scene requested Hart Area Fire Department to assist with additional manpower and a tanker at 11:04 a.m.
