PENTWATER — The 96th Annual Pentwater Homecoming Celebration is set for Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 13–16, with an action-packed lineup of events.
“As Pentwater’s largest and most beloved community tradition, Homecoming brings together residents, former locals, and visitors from near and far to celebrate the spirit, history, and hospitality of our lakeshore community,” states a press release from the Pentwater Chamber of Commerce.
“This year’s Homecoming Celebration features a full schedule of events designed for all ages. Guests can enjoy the Pentwater Farmers Market, live music throughout the weekend, community yoga, the annual Pentwater Lake Association Strawberry Shortcake Social, and much more. You don’t want to miss the combined concert featuring the Pentwater Civic Band and the renowned Scottville Clown Band.

“Families and friends can take part in longtime Homecoming favorites, including the Sand Sculpture Contest with the theme of ‘Beyond the Beach’ and Horseshoe Tournament. Sports fans are invited to kick off football season at the Big Ten Preseason Tailgate Party, a fun opportunity to gather with fellow fans before the season begins.
“The Grand Parade will once again fill the streets with floats, marching bands, community organizations, and more. The celebration ends with a fireworks display over Lake Michigan.
“Additional events throughout the weekend include the Pancake Breakfast, Movies on the Green, live music and more that make Homecoming a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.”
