The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:
Monday, Aug. 3, 2026:
- 6:09 p.m., a 19-year-old Mears man was arrested for felonious assault and felony firearm, North Oceana Drive and Polk Road, City of Hart. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. No injuries were reported.
Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026:
- 11:35 a.m., a 39-year-old Northport, Mich. woman was cited for driving while license revoked, Skeels Road and 184th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
- 2:55 p.m., a 59-year-old Holton man was cited for second-offense driving while license revoked, Garfield Road near 194th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026:
- 11:43 p.m., a 51-year-old Shelby woman was cited for second-offense driving while license suspended, operating without a license and open intoxicants, North 120th Avenue near Jackson Road, Crystal Township.
Friday, Aug. 7, 2026:
- 2:40 p.m., a 40-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on a warrant and charged with second-offense driving while license suspended, 5700 block of North 176th Avenue, Colfax Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Monday, Aug. 10, 2026:
- 3:04 a.m., a 44-year-old Montague man was arrested for methamphetamine possession and driving while license revoked, South 72nd Avenue near Webster Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
