Public notice: Roadside brush control planned on Oceana County roads

Motorists and property owners are advised that roadside brush control operations will begin in Oceana County later this month.

Saldivar Imperial Services LLC, of Saginaw, has been contracted by the Oceana County Road Commission to perform roadside brush control within county road rights of way beginning Monday, Aug. 17.

The company will apply the following herbicides:

• Garlon 3A (triclopyr) at a rate of 4 quarts per acre.
• Escort XP (metsulfuron methyl) at a rate of 1 ounce per acre.

The work will be performed by certified applicators employed by Saldivar Imperial Services and is expected to be completed by Sept. 25.

The Oceana County Road Commission advises the public to stay off treated areas until the herbicides have dried.
