PENTWATER — Pentwater Jr. Women’s Club is accepting funding requests from local organizations.

The funding guidelines and the funding request form are available on www.pentwaterjrwomensclub.com. Requests must be submitted no later than Aug. 31. Funding requests may also be e-mailed to pentwaterjrwomensclub@gmail.com or sent via US mail to PJWC, PO Box 357, Pentwater, MI 49449. Funded projects will be announced in November.

Funding requests from local organizations must benefit the greater Pentwater area. Requests are divided into two categories: mini grants and larger requests. Funded projects are based upon availability of funds and the annual budget of PJWC.

Some examples of past projects funded by the club include: a donation to Pentwater Arts Council’s Sculpture

Project, Pentwater South Entrance Garden and Welcome sign, contributions to the renovation of the Friendship Center now Park Place, handicapped walkway at Charles Mears State Park Beach and a drinking fountain on the Village Green.

PJWC also funds the mobile food pantry located at the fire barn the third Tuesday of the month.

After reviewing the funding guidelines, individuals seeking more information related to the funding cycle should e-mail pentwaterjrwomensclub@gmail.com

PJWC is a volunteer service club of women dedicated to promoting and improving the local community of Pentwater.
