The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:
Wednesday, July 15, 2026:
- 8:20 a.m., (Michigan State Police), non-life-threatening injuries resulted from a traffic crash involving a motorcycle, southbound US 31 and Shelby Road, Shelby Township.
- 1:54 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a drug possession charge against a 46-year-old Twin Lake man is pending lab analysis of the substance, Skeels Road, Otto Township.
- 4:16 p.m., (OCSO) an 18-year-old Mears man was arrested for fleeing and eluding police and operating without insurance, First Street near 56th Avenue, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 4:49 p.m., (OCSO), a woman was scammed out of $700 after receiving a phone call promising her a new car and money if she sent the caller gift cards, 7600 block of North 186th Avenue, Colfax Township.
- 7:25 p.m., (OCSO), a 51-year-old Shelby man was arrested for driving while license revoked, South Oceana Drive near Ray Street, Village of New Era. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. A drug possession charge is pending lab analysis of the substance.
Thursday, July 16, 2026:
- 3:46 p.m., (OCSO), a 49-year-old Ludington woman was cited for driving while license revoked, 100th Avenue near Polk Road, Hart Township.
Friday, July 17, 2026:
- 10:59 a.m., (OCSO), a 43-year-old Hart man was arrested on a warrant, West VanBuren Road, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. Drug possession charges against him and a 36-year-old Hart man are pending lab analysis of the substance.
- 1:40 p.m., (MSP), a 34-year-old Gowen, Mich. man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, 168th Avenue and Garfield Road, Greenwood Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Monday, July 20, 2026:
- 10:50 a.m., (MSP), a 37-year-old Fountain man was cited for driving while license revoked, US 31 and M 20, Shelby Township.
