PENTWATER — Artist Catherine Wahl was awarded Best of Show during the Pentwater Jr. Women’s Club 61st Arts and Crafts Fair Saturday, July 11.
Wahl uses cyanotype, which is a 19th Century photographic printing process. Flora is arranged on top of treated paper, and then the image is exposed to sunlight, creating a beautiful blue print.
The art and craft fair is juried, which means artists must submit pictures of the work to be judged for quality and creativity.
Applications for the 2027 fair will be accepted starting Nov. 1 on ZAPPlication.org, an online art fair application website. Early applications are encouraged. Art fair information is also available by emailing pentwaterjrwomensclub@gmail.com
The Pentwater Jr. Women’s Club is a volunteer service club of women dedicated to promoting and improving the local Pentwater community.
