PENTWATER TOWNSHIP — Local history will come to life later this month as the Friends of Pentwater Township Cemetery hosts the Pentwater Township Cemetery Stroll, a guided walking tour highlighting some of the community’s most notable historical figures.
The event will take place Friday, July 24, beginning at 10 a.m. at Pentwater Township Cemetery. The approximately one-hour tour will be led by local historian Ron Beeber, who will share the stories of individuals whose lives helped shape the Pentwater area.
The cemetery stroll is presented by the Friends of Pentwater Township Cemetery in partnership with the Michigan Dunes Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Pentwater Township. Organizers encourage participants to wear appropriate footwear, as the tour will remain on the cemetery’s main paths. Complimentary water and light refreshments will be available.
Because parking is limited at the cemetery, attendees are encouraged to carpool.
