Donna Hansen
Donna Jean (Fisk) Hansen, 88, of New Era, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born on July 29, 1937, in Claybanks Township, Oceana County.
On Jan. 14, 1956, Donna married the love of her life, Jim Hansen. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and creating lasting memories with those they loved. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Colette (Joe) Gorton, Jim (Nena) Hansen, and Carla (Bob) Wilson.
Donna found great joy in her family and was a proud grandmother to Joey (Abbie) Gorton, Jacob (Rachel Herrygers) Gorton, Nathan Gorton, Donnie (Fran) Hansen, and Kelsey (Levi) Darling. She was also a loving step-grandmother to Jamie (Mike) Benedict.
Her greatest delight came from spending time with her great-grandchildren: Oliver “Ollie” Gorton, Elliot “Ellie” Gorton, August “Gus” Gorton, Asher “Ash” Gorton, Eli Hansen, Jaxon Darling, Wyatt Darling, and Kinsley “Kinny” Darling. She was also blessed with step-great-grandchildren McKenna Dillingham and Brooklyn Dillingham.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Hansen; her parents, George and Erlene (Wentzloff) Fisk; her brother, George “Bud” Fisk; and her sister-in-law and best friend, Charlene (Hansen) Grossman.
Donna will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the kindness she showed to others, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the generations of family she cherished so deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5631 W. Stony Lake Road, New Era. Family and friends are invited to gather for a casual luncheon and a time of fellowship as they honor and celebrate Donna’s life.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
