HESPERIA – Consumers Energy will perform routine maintenance on the Hesperia substation Thursday, June 18, according to a press release issued by Consumers Energy.
“The routine upgrades will help reduce interruptions and improve reliability for customers in the community.
The overnight work will temporarily affect about 2,335 customers in Hesperia from 11 p.m. Thursday, June 18, for about three hours.” The outage will take place at 380 East South Ave.
“We understand power outages are inconvenient. That’s why we work around the clock to minimize interruptions,” said Steve Herrygers, senior executive director of high voltage distribution. “We appreciate the patience of our valued customers in Hesperia while our crews work to perform the necessary maintenance that ensures families and businesses can count on us every hour of every day.”
Postcards have been mailed to affected customers in the area. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for outage alerts at ConsumersEnergy.com/alerts to receive real-time updates on their scheduled outage and any changes to the planned work.

“Consumers Energy often schedules work like this overnight, when many people are asleep, to minimize disruptions to businesses or other activities. If work needs to be rescheduled, the backup date is Thursday, June 25.”
