GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — A 41-year-old Twin Lake area man died when his vehicle hit a large tree at the intersection of 192nd Avenue and McKinley Road Wednesday, June 10, around 9:30 p.m., according to the Michigan State Police, Hart post.
The man, whose name is not being released pending notification of family members, was pronounced dead at the scene, said MSP.
MSP posted the following information on X Thursday morning, June 11:
On June 10, 2026, at approximately 9:32 p.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police, Hart post, responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of 192nd Avenue and McKinley Road.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old male from the Twin Lake area left the roadway and struck a large tree. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No additional information is available at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The Michigan State Police, Hart post, was assisted at the scene by local emergency responders.
As a reminder, drivers are encouraged to remain alert, avoid distractions, and always wear their seatbelt. Even a momentary lapse in attention can have tragic consequences.
