Ronald Dee Robbins, Sr., 82, of Hart, passed away unexpectedly May 28, 2026, while fishing on Hart Lake.

He was born Nov. 7, 1943, to Ernest and Rita Robbins of Hart and attended Hart High School. Ron worked numerous jobs throughout his life, including as a heavy equipment construction operator, at Continental Motors and as a maintenance supervisor at Gray and Company.

Ron provided for his family the old-school way, hunting and fishing for meat, growing his own vegetable garden and performing his own home maintenance. He continued all the aforementioned tasks until the time of his passing.

He survived by his daughters, Tammy (John) Cavanagh of Silver Lake, Pamela Emerson of Shelby, Tracy (Darren) Brown of Rockford; grandchildren, Jonathan (Cheryl) Brown of Whitehall, Dayna (Micheal) Smith of Hart, Kyle (Noelle) Brown of Grand Rapids, Cody (Marissa) Brown of Sparta, Jacob (Marisa Conklin) Brown of Grand Rapids, Cody (Jessica) Robbins of Hart, Mitchell Robbins of Hart, Matthew (Hanna Ustick) Robbins of Hart, Samantha (Joe) Wisneski of Holland; great grandchildren, Max (Emma Sorensen Quick) Turk of Irons, Myles Turk of Hart, Jaccob and Justin Turk of Custer, Carter and Jade Robbins of Hart, Chandler and Sterling Brown of Sparta, Mia, Rowan and Daisy Wisneski of Holland, great great grandson, Maverick Turk of Irons; brothers, Dale and Louis Robbins of Hart and Rothbury, respectively; sisters, Shirley Whitaker of Muskegon, Linda (Charlie) Thrailkill of Spartanburg, S.C.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena; sons, Ronald II and Mark Robbins of Hart; and sister, Judy Robbins.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is being planned.
