GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 68-year-old Saginaw man was transported to Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital by Life EMS following a crash at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Saturday, May 23, shortly after 7 p.m., according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
The man was driving a 2024 Jeep Wrangler southbound on the dunes “when he crested a dune too fast, and the front of his vehicle impacted into a ditch on the backside of the dune,” the report states.
He sustained a possible back injury, and the Jeep had to be towed from the scene.
