Jerry Mead
Jerry DWayne Mead, 74, of Pentwater, died Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Trinity Health Muskegon Campus. He was born May 25, 1951, in Hart, the son of James and Henrietta (Dunn) Mead.
Jerry was employed at Howmet for almost 40 years. In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting, riding dirt bikes, fixing things and playing euchre with his friends. Jerry was also known to enjoy trying strange foods as well as all kinds of hot sauces.
Jerry is survived by: his daughters, Hope Morris and Beverly (David) Selby; eight grandchildren, Ashlei Delagrange, Jami Morris, Tyler “Pedro” Morris who was in Jerry’s words “my pride and joy”, Avery Kline, Ted Kline, Sky Young, Eden Selby and Lilly Selby; five great-grandchildren, Ja-Nae Delagrange, Ivana Delagrange, Greyson Knapp, Evalina Spears and Zoey Spears; his sister, Joanie ( Walt ) Gashaw; his brother, Jay (Karen) Mead; and several nieces and nephews including his nephew and “best buddy”, Danny Pinard. Jerry is also survived by his church family/friends at Hart Christian Fellowship especially Pastor Robert and Jane Hambright.
Jerry was preceded in death by: his parents; and his brother, Jack Mead.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Oceana Council on Aging where Jerry enoyed the many friendships and entertainment.
