HESPERIA — Shelby swept a doubleheader over Hesperia Tuesday by scores of 14-1 and 12-2, clinching a co-championship.
In Game 1, winning pitcher Dayday Garcia allowed just one hit while striking out four and walking two.
Shelby’s offense was led by Trevor Weiss with three hits and two RBIs. Jaden Furman hit a three-run home run, Cam Smith added a two-run homer and Leighton Belasco drove in two runs.
In Game 2, winning pitcher Trevor Weiss allowed two hits and struck out five.
Offensively, Chase Simon had three hits, Evan Waller added two hits and three RBIs, Leighton Belasco had two hits and two RBIs, and Eli Kelley drove in two runs.
Shelby improved to 24-6 overall.
