Friday, May 8, 2026:
- 10 a.m., water emergency, a fisherman on the pier reported a body in the water, Pentwater south pier, Village of Pentwater. Emergency personnel recovered a feed sack floating in the water. The call resulted in a significant emergency response, including two OCSO patrol boats, a Mason County Sheriff’s Office patrol boat and US Coast Guard vessels, along with Pentwater Fire Department’s drone and personnel and OCSO deputies and Pentwater police officers on the shore.
Sunday, May 10, 2026:
- 10:32 p.m., larceny of a fiberglass extension ladder valued at $300 and sheets of plywood valued at $20 each, 500 block of East Skeels Road, Greenwood Township.
Tuesday, May 12, 2026:
- 4:34 a.m., a 33-year-old Hart man was arrested for second-offense driving while license suspended, West Polk Road near Parmington Avenue, City of Hart. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 11:16 a.m., vulnerable adult fraud, 9000 block of East Wilke Road, Greenwood Township.
Wednesday, May 13, 2026:
- 3:53 a.m., a 33-year-old Adairville, Ga. man was arrested for driving while license suspended and unregistered vehicle, Maple Island Road near Garfield Road, Greenwood Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 11:37 a.m., a 34-year-old Hart man was arrested for domestic violence and malicious destruction of property, Pines Mobile Home Park, 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. A door frame valued at $250 was destroyed.
- 11:50 a.m., assault, Pines Mobile Home Park, 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. (This incident involved a different suspect and a different residence than the above incident.)
Thursday, May 14, 2026:
- 1:33 a.m., trespassing and malicious destruction of property, 5100 North 88th Avenue, Weare Township.
Friday, May 15, 2026:
- 10:48 p.m., a 30-year-old Montague man was cited for driving while license suspended and operating without insurance, South Water Road near Clay Road, Grant Township.
Saturday, May 17, 2026:
- 9:33 p.m., a 47-year-old Wayland man was cited for open intoxicants, South 192nd Avenue near Arthur Road, Greenwood Township. A charge of probation violation was turned over to his probation agent.
