HART — Hart’s varsity girls soccer team took care of business Thursday, defeating Manistee 8-1 in a West Michigan Conference matchup.
The Pirates improved to 4-0 in conference play and 7-2-1 overall.
Hart came out aggressively, scoring three goals in the opening 20 minutes of the first half. Manistee answered with a lone goal, but the Pirates maintained control heading into halftime.
The second half was all Hart, as the Pirates added five more goals to pull away.
Addie Barefoot led the offensive effort with a hat trick. Zoily Sarabia added two goals on her birthday, while Natalie Rosema also scored twice. Rilynn Porter contributed one goal.
Hart goalkeeper Baleigh made three saves in the win.
