Drug investigations top sheriff’s office activity

The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Monday, April 20, 2026:

  • 5:21 a.m., a 35-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for driving while license revoked, South Street, Village of Hesperia. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. Charges of methamphetamine possession are pending lab analysis of the substance against him and a 39-year-old Muskegon man. 
  • 2:43 p.m., a 35-year-old Montague man was arrested for operating without a license and suspected methamphetamine possession, Skeels Road, Otto Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. 
  • 9:05 p.m., a 54-year-old Walkerville woman was cited for second-offense driving while license revoked and operating without insurance, Elm Street, Village of Hesperia.

Wednesday, April 22, 2026:

  • 1:08 p.m., breaking and entering, 1800 block of South 176th Avenue, Newfield Township. Intruders pushed in a door to gain access to a vacant home, and nothing was reported stolen.

Thursday, April 23, 2026:

  • 8 a.m., larceny, 200 block of Main Street, Village of Walkerville.
  • 11:19 p.m., a 73-year-old Hart man was arrested for suspected cocaine possession, 100th Avenue near Polk Road, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. 

Friday, April 24, 2026:

  • 5:04 a.m., a 42-year-old Holton man was cited for driving while license suspended, Munn Street near South Street, Village of Hesperia. A charge of methamphetamine possession is pending lab analysis of the substance.

Saturday, April 25, 2025:

  • 2:22 p.m., larceny, 5900 block of Baseline Road, Benona Township.

Sunday, April 26, 2026:

  • 2:21 a.m., domestic violence, no arrest, 2300 block of East Taylor Road, Elbridge Township.
  • 9:29 a.m., malicious destruction of property, 7400 block of West Fox Road, Golden Township. A residential door window and a car were damaged, causing $600 in total damages.

Monday, April 27, 2026:

  • 3:16 a.m., drug charges are pending lab analysis of the substance against a 37-year-old Traverse City man and a 33-year-old Traverse City woman, Rothbury rest area, North US 31, Grant Township.
