Oceana County Democrats meeting set for May 5

HART — Heather Ramseyer, director of the Oceana County Center of the Michigan Dyslexia Institute, will be the guest speaker during the Oceana County Democrats general membership meeting Tuesday, May 5, at 7 p.m,  at the Hart Community Center, located at 407 S. State St.

“The Institute provides individualized, explicit, multi-sensory and structured literacy instruction based on a recognized approach to meet the specific learning needs of each student in a one-on-one, online, or small-group setting,” states a press release from the organization. “The Michigan Dyslexia Institute also provides professional training in structured literacy for educators and reading instructors who work with students with dyslexia.

“Attend this event and learn about another valuable resource in our area. The general membership business meeting of the Oceana County Democrats will follow Ramseyer’s presentation. This is an open meeting, and all are invited to attend.”
