HART — Monday evening saw the Hart Pirates take on the Whitehall Vikings for their first conference game of the season. The Pirates came away with a 5-0 victory, improving to 4-2-0 on the season.
In the first half, the Pirates opened the scoring with two goals within a short span. Addison Barefoot and Natalie Rosema gave Hart a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Just 33 seconds into the second half, Rilynn Porter sent in a cross that connected with Rosema, who headed it in for her second goal of the night to make it 3-0.
Rosema later added another goal to complete a hat trick, while Barefoot scored her second of the match.
Olivia Bradley recorded two assists, while Vivi VanAgtmael and Zoily Sarabia each added one.
Hart’s defense held Whitehall to just one shot. Lili VanAgtmael, Navaeh Reyna, Ari Vela, April Chaffee, Marissa Moul, Prestyn Huck and Leila Zamora anchored the back line, and goalkeeper Baleigh Klotz made the save.
The Pirates travel to Oakridge on Wednesday for their second conference game.
