Cross-county pursuit on US 31 halted due to dangerous speeds

Suspect is wanted on several warrants including prostitution 

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A police chase that began near Winston Road on US 31 in Oceana County ended near Apple Avenue in Muskegon County Monday, April 13, around 3:15 p.m. due to safety reasons, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The fleeing driver reached speeds in excess of 120 mph. The suspect has been identified and police are following up on an arrest. She is a 38-year-old Holton woman who initially gave the deputy her sister’s name, said Sheriff Mast.

A traffic stop was initiated after police received a call of a reckless driver. However, the suspect fled. “She has several warrants for her arrest, including prostitution.”
