The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:
Tuesday, April 7, 2026:
- 12:55 a.m., a 30-year-old Shelby man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, driving while license revoked, operating an unregistered vehicle and operating without insurance, South Oceana Drive, Shelby Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 1:22 p.m., malicious destruction of property, a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer was damaged, 3300 block of East Garfield Road, Otto Township.
- 4:45 p.m., a 28-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for methamphetamine possession and operating without insurance, State and Main streets, Village of Walkerville. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Wednesday, April 8, 2026:
- 5:41 a.m., a 44-year-old Pentwater man was cited for driving while license suspended, South Oceana Drive near Garfield Road, Village of New Era.
Friday, April 10, 2026:
- 6:45 a.m., larceny, 1700 block of South 58th Avenue, Benona Township. Assorted hand tools valued at $545 were stolen, along with an Xbox gaming system valued at $180 and a JBL Clip speaker valued at $55.
Saturday, April 11, 2026:
- 10:05 a.m., a trailer was stolen, 5100 block of North 88th Avenue, Weare Township. No other information was immediately available.
- 9:47 p.m., a 46-year-old Dexter, Mich. woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Winston Road and US 31, Grant Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 11:24 p.m., a 41-year-old Hart man was arrested for two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, North 72nd Avenue near Lever Road, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
