79th District Court sentences, published April 13, 2026

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

Shenel Lee Rudd-Corbin, 22, of Battle Creek, pleaded guilty Feb. 3 to operating with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced April 7 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; six months probation; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $705 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS)

Evan Joshua Mayer, 31, of Grandville, pleaded guilty April 7 to malicious use of a phone to threaten and was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for 25 days served and $535 in fines and costs.

Nathaniel Kain Hooker, 42, of Pentwater, pleaded no contest April 7 to malicious destruction of property $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; $1,838 in restitution; and $125 in fines and costs. One felony count of malicious destruction of property $1,000-$20,000 was dismissed.

Lazaro Daniel Madrigal-Vasquez II, 23, of Shelby, pleaded no contest March 31 to fraudulent use of a public utility less than $500 and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $731 in restitution; and $125 in fines and costs. One felony count of fraudulent use of a public utility over $500 was dismissed.

Kristina Kay Alger, 40, of Rothbury, pleaded guilty March 31 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; AHSE; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Quinton Allen Mosley, 69 of Montague, pleaded guilty Feb. 24 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to AHSE and $515 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed.

Gary Dean Adams, 64, of Shelby, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $1,555 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Jason Edward Gailitis, 55, of Mears pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
