LUDINGTON — Ludington swept Hart in a doubleheader Thursday, shutting out the Pirates 10-0 and 9-0.
In the opener, the Orioles broke through in the second inning when Karson Knowles delivered an RBI single. Ludington extended its lead in the third after Asher Forfinski singled to spark the offense. Brayten Kaminski and Knowles each added singles, while Gavin Cohoon drew a walk as the Orioles pulled away.
Kaminski dominated on the mound, striking out nine over five innings while allowing just one hit and one walk.
In the second game, Knowles led the way, pitching a complete-game shutout to secure a 9-0 victory.
Ludington took control early. In the second inning, Brody Jones walked and Brian Dickenson singled to center field, with both coming around to score. Chase Buck added to the lead with a walk in the third inning.
Ludington will host Big Rapids today at Oriole Field.
