PENTWATER — The Pentwater Falcons dropped both games of a doubleheader to Brethren Thursday, falling 7-6 in the opener and 19-7 in the nightcap.

In Game 1, Pentwater controlled much of the contest behind a strong performance from Kyle Oomen, who struck out seven batters. The Falcons built a 5-1 lead heading into the fifth inning, but Brethren rallied late. Capitalizing on a combination of Pentwater errors and timely hitting, the Bobcats scored six runs to take the lead.

Pentwater attempted a comeback in the final frame, highlighted by a base hit from Jamison Clark, but the rally came up short as the Falcons fell 7-6.

In Game 2, defensive struggles put Pentwater in an early hole. The Falcons committed multiple errors, allowing Brethren to build a 14-1 lead by the middle of the third inning.

Despite the deficit, Pentwater continued to battle at the plate, but could not close the gap before falling 19-7.

Abram Kieda and Ben Roberson each made their pitching debuts for the Falcons in the second game.
