HART — In their first game back from spring break, the Hart Pirates defeated Reed City 8-0 in a mercy-shortened match, improving to 2-1 on the season.
Addie Barefoot recorded a hat trick to lead the Pirates. Natalie Rosema and Olivia Bradley each added two goals. Jaidyn Reyna, a sophomore making her debut, scored in her first match with the Pirates.
Bradley also contributed to the offense with four assists. Vivi VanAgtmael added an assist.
Hart’s defense — Nevaeh Reyna, Arianna Vela, April Chaffee, Marissa Moul, Lili VanAgtmael and Leila Zamora — did not allow a shot from Reed City. Goalkeeper Baleigh Klotz earned her first shutout of the season and recorded one throw-in from the Coyotes.
The Pirates will host the state-ranked Leland Chargers on Saturday for their second home game of the season.
