The following is recently activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Monday, March 23, 2026:

  • 9:21 p.m., a 39-year-old Montague woman was arrested on a warrant issued by the Fruitport Police Department and a bond violation, 8100 block of South 72nd Avenue, Grant Township. Charges of harboring a fugitive and domestic violence are pending review by the Oceana County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Tuesday, March 24, 2026:

  • 4:45 p.m., malicious destruction of property, a 1997 Ford F250 pickup truck was damaged, South 144th Avenue and Loop Road, Ferry Township.

Wednesday, March 25, 2026:

  • Midnight, a 22-year-old Montague man was arrested for methamphetamine possession, 72nd Avenue and Skeels Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Thursday, March 26, 2026:

  • 10:11 a.m., assault, no arrest, 8800 block of West Shirley Drive, Golden Township.
  • 10:57 a.m., a 30-year-old Hesperia man was cited for second-offense driving while license revoked, Garfield and Maple Island roads, Greenwood Township. 

Friday, March 27, 2026:

  • 4:54 a.m., retail fraud, Wesco, Village of Shelby. The suspect fled the scene.

Saturday, March 28, 2026:

  • 12:33 a.m., a 24-year-old Twin Lake man was arrested on a warrant and charges of driving while license suspended and improper license plate, South 194th Avenue near Arthur Road, Grant Township. A charge of methamphetamine possession is pending lab analysis of the substance. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Sunday, March 29, 2026:

  • 1:13 p.m., domestic violence, no arrest, 7200 block of North Macksam Road, Crystal Township.
  • 2:22 p.m., stolen handgun, 4400 block of South 154th Avenue, Ferry Township.
  • 5:31 p.m., a 44-year-old Shelby man was arrested for second-offense driving while license revoked, and a 40-year-old Shelby woman was cited for allowing a revoked driver to operate, North Oceana Drive near Star Hill, Hart Township. The man was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
