Charles Wesley Kiogima

Charles Wesley Kiogima, 92, of Hart, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at his home.

He was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Petoskey.

Chuck served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Navy Reserve from 1953 to 1958. He was employed by S.D. Warren as a machinist and mechanic for 42 years, retiring in 1996. Chuck was a member of the Muskegon Motorcycle Club for 70 years.

He filled his life with a love for family and outdoor activities, including holiday and birthday celebrations, attending sporting events for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and camping, hunting, fishing, traveling and picnicking with them. Chuck’s hobbies included motorcycle racing, restoring antique firearms, and feeding birds and squirrels.

Charles is survived by his children, Mary Kiogima, Cindy Kiogima, Scott Kiogima, and Pam (Pat) Kelly; grandchildren, Jason (Stacia) Ring, April (Adam) Tomlinson, Lisa (Daniel) Taylor, Kaylee (Travis) King, Rachel (Brent) Robinson, Shauna (Zach) Kiogima, and Corey Kelly; great-grandchildren, Kelsey (Christian) Boschaert, Ethan Ring, Draven Trogden, Lucie Parker, Mavis Taylor, Lincoln King, Sutton King, Austynn Tomlinson, Kona Robinson, and Emmett Wiseman; great-great-grandson, Milo Boschaert; and sisters, Elisabeth Kiogima and Marian Sedlak.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Elaine Kiogima; his parents; his sister, Shirley; his brother, Julius; and his great-grandson, baby boy Parker.

Chuck’s family invites the community to a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 400 S. Hart St., Hart, officiated by Pastor Bill Ryder, with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice.

Arrangements were entrusted to Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel.
