ALLENDALE: The Hart Pirates opened up their track season this past Friday with an impressive outing at Grand Valley State University, which featured over 39 schools competing. The Pirates had a number of excellent performances, which led to six medals for the team, including Joselyn Flores, who took home first place in the high jump, and was named meet champion for her event.
List of Medalists
- Joselyn Flores – high jump (first place, meet champion)
- Natalie Rosema – 800 meters (third place)
- Shelbie Choponis – shot put (third place)
- Addison Hain – 60 meters (fourth place) and 200 meters (fifth place)
- Ellie Gross – 60 meter hurdles (eighth place)

The Pirates’ next meet is back in Hart, April 11th at 11:00 am, which will be the fourth annual Hart and Sole Music Invite.
