SHELBY — The Shelby Tigers fell to the North Muskegon Norsemen Thursday, 70-33.
“North Muskegon came out red hot hitting 8 of 10 three point shots in the first quarter and 13-23 for the game,” said SHS Coach Rick Zoulek. “I felt like we did some good things in the first half but we just didn’t capitalize on the scoreboard. If we can be more determined to consistently make good decisions with the ball we can compete at any time.
“We just have stretches when we make too many mental mistakes. We have a tendency to play 4-5 good minutes then 2-3 bad ones.”
Eli Kelley had 12 points and Leighton Belasco 10.
“The guys are playing hard. The focus just needs to be more consistent.”
