GRAND RAPIDS — The Hart Pirates defeated West Michigan Aviation Academy Monday in a non-conference match, 72-48.
The score would never again get closer than 14-10 after one quarter. The Pirates were able to extend the lead to 37-23 at half and never looked back.
Leading the way for HHS were Caleb Ackley with 20 rebounds and 14 points while Kolton Rockwell posted nearly a double double with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Rounding out the scoring were Luke Vanderwilk with 8 points and Bryce Vanderkodde who provided a massive spark off the bench with 6 points.
The Pirates pick up play at home today against Hesperia at 5:30 p.m. for a makeup game.
