HART — The following were sentenced Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:
Speech
– Derrick DaWayne Speech, 37, pleaded no contest Dec. 15, 2025 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Feb. 2, 2026 to five months in jail and $398 in fines and costs.
Moon
– Paulette Jean Moon, 61, pleaded guilty Dec. 8, 2025 to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Feb. 2, 2026 to 60 days in jail with credit for three days served; two years probation; and $908 in fines and costs. Misdemeanor charges of transporting open intoxicants and driving while license suspended were dismissed.
Avila
– Adrianna Rae Avila, 27, pleaded guilty Feb. 24, 2025 to possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and was sentenced Feb. 2, 2026 to 50 days in jail with credit for 50 days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs.
Rodriguez
– Arnoldo Rodriguez, 50, pleaded guilty Dec. 8, 2025 to possession of heroin, cocaine or another narcotic and was sentenced Feb. 2, 2026 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; and $598 in fines and costs.
