WHITEHALL, Muskegon County — The Michigan Department of Transportation announced that the damaged White Lake Drive bridge over US 31 is estimated to remain closed until May 31.
“In partnership with the Muskegon County Road Commission, MDOT will repair the White Lake Drive bridge decks over northbound and southbound US 31,” states an MDOT press release. “The bridge was closed on Tuesday, Jan. 6, due to poor deck conditions. Subzero weather has slowed down the work and consistently warmer temperatures are necessary before concrete can be poured. Crews will address the northbound structure first and then move on to the bridge over southbound US 31.”
