The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:
Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026:
- 9:51 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 42-year-old New Era man was arrested for domestic violence, 5300 block of South Oceana Drive, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 10:16 p.m., (OCSO), a 44-year-old Pentwater man was arrested for second-offense driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, and a charge of methamphetamine possession is pending lab analysis of the substance, Wishing Well parking lot, northbound Business 31, Pentwater Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026:
- 4:21 p.m., (OCSO), assault, 2500 block of West Winston Road, Benona Township. The case was turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
- 9:31 p.m., (OCSO), a 39-year-old Shelby man was cited for driving while license suspended, Stony Lake Road near 56th Avenue, Benona Township.
Friday, Jan. 23, 2026:
- 2:06 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 56-year-old Shelby man was arrested for domestic violence, 100 block of Michigan Avenue, Village of Shelby. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026:
- 3:19 a.m., (OCSO), a 19-year-old Rothbury woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, South 88th Avenue and Cleveland Road, Grant Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026:
- 2:41 a.m., (OCSO), a 51-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, northbound US 31 near Buchanan Road, Shelby Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
MSP responded to 13 vehicle crashes and slide-offs over the past week. No one was injured.
