PENTWATER — The Mason County Eastern Cardinals defeated the Pentwater Falcons 45-31 during West Michigan D play Wednesday, Jan. 21.
“We had a slow start tonight and our execution was sloppy in the first quarter,” said MCE Coach Jake Smith. “We put ourselves in some bad spots against their press and Pentwater jumped out early on us.
I was proud how we weathered our mistakes and were able to slowly come back and took a lead into the half.
“We played a lot stronger game in the 2nd half. We were able to get some shots to fall and pulled away from them to get the victory.”
