The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Monday, Jan. 12, 2026:

  • 11:56 p.m., a 40-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for second-offense driving while license revoked and improper license plate, West Cleveland Road near 88th Avenue, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026:

  • 2:19 p.m., a 47-year-old Hesperia woman was cited for driving while license revoked, Michigan Avenue near Lynn Street, Village of Hesperia.

Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026:

  • 3:46 p.m., larceny of prescription medication, 4100 block of South 198th Avenue, Newfield Township.
  • 2:42 p.m., possible breaking and entering of a garage, 3100 block of North 72nd Avenue, Hart Township.
  • 10:21 p.m., a 52-year-old Shelby man was arrested for second-offense driving while license suspended and operating without insurance, West Baseline Road near Water Road, Shelby Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 11:17 p.m., an assault charge is pending review by the Oceana County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office against a 28-year-old Walkerville woman who allegedly assaulted another female inmate at the Oceana County Jail, City of Hart. The victim, who is a 38-year-old Walkerville woman, suffered minor injuries.

Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026:

  • Midnight, a 64-year-old Shelby man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Stony Lake Road near 64th Avenue, Benona Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
