The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:
Monday, Jan. 5, 2026:
- 12:01 p.m., a 38-year-old Ravenna man was arrested for open intoxicants, transporting an uncased firearm and violating a restricted driver’s license, Elm Street, Village of Hesperia. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 3:25 p.m., larceny of extension cords valued at $160, Main Street, Village of Walkerville.
Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026:
- 12:10 a.m., deputies assisted Fremont Police Department with a fleeing and eluding suspect, Garfield Road and 136th Avenue, Otto Township.
- 11:47 a.m., a larceny of 2000 units of electricity valued at $500 from a seasonal home, 8400 block of Kinney Road, Pentwater Township.
- 8:56 p.m., a 42-year-old Hart man was cited for operating without insurance following a traffic stop, northbound US 31 and Winston Road, Grant Township. A charge of methamphetamine possession is pending lab analysis of the substance.
Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026:
- 10:50 a.m., a 61-year-old Muskegon man was cited for driving while license revoked, northbound US 31 near Tyler Road, Hart Township.
Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026:
- Midnight, a 38-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested for methamphetamine possession, South 154th Avenue and M 20, Ferry Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Friday, Jan. 9, 2026:
- Noon, breaking and entering, Hallack Contracting, Polk Road, City of Hart. The intruder or intruders broke in through a gate to gain access to the property and stole scrap copper valued at $500.
- 3:15 p.m., a 54-year-old Walkerville woman was arrested on a warrant and also charged with driving while license revoked and providing false information to police, Alpha and Division streets, Village of Hesperia. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 5:28 p.m., a 27-year-old New Era man was cited for second-offense driving while license suspended, improper license plate and operating without insurance, Arthur Road and Tahoe Trail, Grant Township.
Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026:
- 8:11 p.m., a 42-year-old New Era man was arrested on outstanding warrants, 5600 South Oceana Drive, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. He and a 41-year-old New Era man are suspects in a domestic violence incident at that location.
Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026:
- 2:34 a.m., a 26-year-old Hart man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, State and Fourth streets, Village of Shelby. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 10:25 a.m., a 45-year-old Montague man was cited for driving while license suspended, Division and Hawley streets, Village of Hesperia.
- 11:02 p.m., a 26-year-old Shelby man was cited for second-offense driving while license suspended, East Loop Road and 136th Avenue, Ferry Township.
