HART — The following were sentenced this week in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:
Odom
– Justin Lee Odom, 31, pleaded guilty Nov. 10, 2025 to a felony of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic stemming from a June 20, 2025 offense date and was sentenced Jan. 5, 2026 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. A second count of delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic was dismissed.
Smit
– Lance Corey Smit, 38, pleaded guilty Nov. 4, 2025 to a felony of fourth-degree fleeing and eluding police and a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated arising from an Oct. 7, 2024 offense date and was sentenced Jan. 5, 2026 to 62 days in jail with credit for 62 days served and $808 in fines and costs.
Huntley
– Donald Eugene Huntley, 34, pleaded guilty Nov. 10, 2025 to a felony of methamphetamine/ecstasy possession due to a July 30, 2025 offense date and was sentenced Jan. 5, 2026 to 19 days in jail with credit for 19 days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs.
Schaefer
– Matthew John Schaefer, 47, pleaded “no contest” Nov. 10, 2025 to a felony of methamphetamine/ecstasy possession stemming from an April 7, 2025 offense date and was sentenced Jan. 5, 2026 to 119 days in jail with credit for 119 days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs.
