The following is recent Oceana County Sheriff’s Office activity:

Monday, Dec. 29, 2025:

  • 4:23 p.m., domestic violence and reckless discharge of a firearm inside an occupied residence, Beach Road, Leavitt Township. No one was injured. The report was turned over to the Oceana County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025:

  • 2:02 a.m., a 29-year-old Shelby man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, First Street near Pine Street, Village of Shelby. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026:

  • 4:19 a.m., a 62-year-old Shelby man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, US 31 near Buchanan Road, Shelby Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 5:09 p.m., a 38-year-old Shelby man was arrested for domestic violence, 2000 block of Union Street, Ferry Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Friday, Jan. 2, 2026:

  • 1:43 a.m., a 43-year-old Grand Rapids woman was arrested on outstanding warrants, and a 30-year-old Detroit woman was cited for second-offense driving while license revoked, US 31 near Polk Road, Hart Township. The Grand Rapids woman was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Saturday, Jan. 3, 2025:

  • 11:51 a.m., a 40-year-old Hart woman was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated, North Oceana Drive, Hart Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 3:28 p.m., a 41-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on outstanding warrants and charges of second-offense driving while license revoked and operating without insurance, Loop Road and 116th Avenue, Newfield Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Sunday, Jan, 4, 2026:

  • Midnight, a 20-year-old Shelby man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated and driving while license revoked, M 20, Shelby Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
