51st Circuit Court sentences, published Dec. 18, 2025

HART — The following were sentenced this week in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Sampson-Phillips

– Daniel Peter Sampson-Phillips, 33, pleaded guilty Nov. 3 to possession/sale of a taser and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Dec. 15 to 13 months to four years in prison with credit for 94 days served in jail and $266 in fines and costs. In a second case, Sampson-Phillips pleaded guilty Nov. 3 to possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced Dec. 15 to a concurrent term of 13 months to 10 years in prison with credit for 95 days served and $666 in fines and costs.

Valentine

– Austin Shelby Valentine, 37, pleaded guilty Oct. 27 to third-degree home invasion and was sentenced Dec. 15 to 10 months in jail with credit for one day served; three years probation; and $598 in fines and costs. One count of second-degree home invasion was dismissed.

Williams

– Casey Joseph-Ryne Williams, 25, pleaded guilty Oct. 27 to delivery/manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and was  sentenced Dec. 15 to six months in jail with credit for 126 days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. Charges of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine/ecstasy, possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and delivery/manufacture of a schedule 1-3 drug were dismissed. 

Tennant

– Gerald Raymond Tennant, 43, pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to failure to comply with sex offender reporting duties and was sentenced Dec. 15 to five months in jail with credit for one day served and $198 in fines and costs. In a second case, Tennant pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to possession of weapons by a prohibited person and was sentenced Dec. 15 to a concurrent term of five months in jail with credit for two days served and $658 in fines and costs. 

Larson

– William P. Larson, 32, pleaded guilty Sept. 8 to methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Dec. 15 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs. One count of analogues possession was dismissed.

Cacatzun-Riscajche

– Juan Fabiola Cacatzun-Riscajche, 33 pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Dec. 15 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. A second count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.
