HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:
- Blake Louis Babic, 36, pleaded no contest Oct. 21 to fourth-degree child abuse and was sentenced to four days in jail; one year probation; and $450 in fines and costs. One felony count of possession of firearms by a prohibited person was dismissed.
- David Phillip Messerlie, 76, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail and $815 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Aaron Christopher Gwinn, 28, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail and $900 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.
- Ryan Christopher Morren, 29, pleaded guilty Sept. 23 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Oct. 28 to four days in jail and $875 in fines and costs. One count of carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence was dismissed.
- Adam Scott Schilz-Kissling, 34, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to second-offense driving while license suspended and was sentenced to two days in jail and $300 in fines and costs.
- Robert Eric Bachman, 46, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to second-offense driving while license suspended and was sentenced to 87 days in jail.
- Jerrad Joseph Watkins, 40, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to second-offense driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.
- Robert William Pierce, 45, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to second-offense driving while license suspended and was sentenced to one day in jail and $300 in fines and costs.
- Kevin Scott Rider, 23, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.
- Victoria Lynn LaPorte, 49, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs.
- Tandyn Robert-John Hall, 19, pleaded guilty Oct. 21 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs.
- Jeffrey Dale Baldus, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs.
- Jeremy Alan Dykema, 31, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
- Bernard John Norkett, 59, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs.
- Miguel Angel Rivera-Simonds, 21, pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to driving while license suspended and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
